On today’s WTJX Radio NewsFeed, we speak with Hugo Hodge Jr., the St. Thomas/St. John Horse Racing Commission Chair about the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the December 22 horse races where three horses were euthanized after sustaining injuries during the races. A report from the Virgin Islands Inspector General’s office reveals that over a six-year period the Virgin Islands Department of Agriculture missed out on over $4 million dollars it was supposed to receive for its Revolving Fund. And FEMA announced over $1 billion will be allocated to the territory for critical repairs and replacements, including the 911 communication towers and power plants. Isabelle is a graduate of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, where&nbsp;she&nbsp;specialized&nbsp;in radio broadcast and audio storytelling.&nbsp;Born in Brooklyn but raised on St. Thomas since the age of seven, she attended and graduated from Antilles School before moving to Washington, D.C., where she earned her bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University in Justice and Peace Studies. Originally planning to pursue a career in law, Isabelle worked as a paralegal on St. Thomas for several years before deciding to follow her passion for storytelling.
