JPMorgan Boosts Offer for Bear Stearns Buyout
Wall Street investment bank JPMorgan Chase has agreed to pay more money for the troubled securities firm Bear Stearns. Last week, Bear Stearns almost melted down because of the credit crisis, and JPMorgan hoped to scoop up the firm at a fire-sale price. Then, top shareholders in Bears Stearns balked.

Medicare negotiated lower prices for 15 drugs, including 71% off Ozempic and Wegovy
Medicare announced 15 lower drugs after a second round of negotiations with pharmaceutical companies. The drugs include Ozempic and also drugs to treat asthma, breast cancer and leukemia.

Wells Fargo will pay a $1 billion fine to settle claims that it had taken advantage of mortgage and auto loan customers. Federal regulators also said the bank did not have adequate compliance or risk management programs.
