Tom Eader is an award-winning journalist and chief reporter for WTJX with more than two decades of experience covering the Virgin Islands. A native of South Bend, Indiana, he earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Ball State University and moved to St. Croix in 2003 to join The St. Croix Avis, where he worked for 20 years as a reporter and photographer and served as Bureau Chief from 2013 until the paper’s closure at the beginning of 2024.
