On today’s WTJX Radio NewsFeed: While the St. Thomas CZM Committee reviewed plans for new fire stations in Anna’s Retreat and Fortuna, community members raised concerns about how emergency coverage will continue during construction. Nightly closures begin tonight at Cyril E. King Airport as the Port Authority starts long-term runway rehabilitation work that will continue through 2026, including pavement testing and a full resurfacing project. A woman on St. Thomas previously released on bail for assault and property damage has been arrested again, accused of assaulting her 11-year-old daughter during an incident observed by a neighbor. Marcellina Ventura-Douglas is the Radio News Reporter for WTJX-FM, 93.1.She was born and raised on the island of St. Croix, where her grandfather founded&nbsp;the&nbsp;historic&nbsp;newspaper, The&nbsp;St. Croix Avis.&nbsp;Marcellina earned her&nbsp;bachelor’s degree in criminal justice&nbsp;from the University of the Virgin Islands,&nbsp;also&nbsp;working in the office of Senator Shawn-Michael Malone while she attended school.&nbsp;After leaving Malone's office,&nbsp;Marcellina&nbsp;went on to serve as program director of Vivid Streaming before working for the Virgin Islands National Guard as a Family Assistance Center Specialist from 2017 to 2018, where she supported service members and their families following Hurricanes Irma and Maria.&nbsp;She then joined WTJX-TV, Channel 12 as a producer, but was soon&nbsp;tapped to switch to WTJX-FM to deliver local evening news through the WTJX NewsFeed, airing every weekday at 5:00 pm on 93.1 FM and available on demand, wherever you get your&nbsp;podcasts.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br/>Email: mvdouglas@wtjx.org<br/>Phone: (340) 474-1682
