On today’s WTJX Radio NewsFeed: Seven new ambulances have been placed into service across the territory following a blessing ceremony held today by VI Fire and Emergency Medical Services. Senators are renewing scrutiny of the West Indian Company Limited to address an $11.8 million unpaid PILOT obligation. Young baseball players will showcase their talents this weekend in front of college recruiters and Major League Baseball scouts on St. Croix as the Virgin Islands Future Stars Baseball Organization hosts its 15th annual scouting Scout Day at the David C. Canegata Ballpark. Community members are invited to participate in upcoming Martin Luther King Jr. marches and rallies on both St. Croix and St. Thomas in observance of the holiday. Marcellina Ventura-Douglas is the Radio News Reporter for WTJX-FM, 93.1.She was born and raised on the island of St. Croix, where her grandfather founded the historic newspaper, The St. Croix Avis. Marcellina earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of the Virgin Islands, also working in the office of Senator Shawn-Michael Malone while she attended school. After leaving Malone's office, Marcellina went on to serve as program director of Vivid Streaming before working for the Virgin Islands National Guard as a Family Assistance Center Specialist from 2017 to 2018, where she supported service members and their families following Hurricanes Irma and Maria. She then joined WTJX-TV, Channel 12 as a producer, but was soon tapped to switch to WTJX-FM to deliver local evening news through the WTJX NewsFeed, airing every weekday at 5:00 pm on 93.1 FM and available on demand, wherever you get your podcasts.  <br/>Email: mvdouglas@wtjx.org<br/>Phone: (340) 474-1682
