On today’s WTJX Radio NewsFeed: Students at Lew Muckle Elementary School received new library books today after the Altona Lagoon Book Club donated about $1,700 worth of reading materials to support literacy. Superior Court Judge Denise M. Francois ordered a mistrial in the kidnapping and torture trial against Troy Harrigan following the shooting death of his co-defendant Desie Henry Jr. on St. Thomas. DPNR says Bluebeard's Beach and Sapphire Beach on St. Thomas are currently unsafe for swimming or fishing due to elevated bacteria levels. Governor Albert Bryan Jr. says federal officials are proposing a Washington, D.C. summit to address the dispute between the U.S. and British Virgin Islands over new charter yacht fees and licensing rules. Marcellina Ventura-Douglas is the Radio News Reporter for WTJX-FM, 93.1.&nbsp;She was born and raised on the island of St. Croix, where her grandfather founded&nbsp;the&nbsp;historic&nbsp;newspaper, The&nbsp;St. Croix Avis.&nbsp;Marcellina earned her&nbsp;bachelor’s degree in criminal justice&nbsp;from the University of the Virgin Islands,&nbsp;also&nbsp;working in the office of Senator Shawn-Michael Malone while she attended school.&nbsp;After leaving Malone's office,&nbsp;Marcellina&nbsp;went on to serve as program director of Vivid Streaming before working for the Virgin Islands National Guard as a Family Assistance Center Specialist from 2017 to 2018, where she supported service members and their families following Hurricanes Irma and Maria.&nbsp;She then joined WTJX-TV, Channel 12 as a producer, but was soon&nbsp;tapped to switch to WTJX-FM to deliver local evening news through the WTJX NewsFeed, airing every weekday at 5:00 pm on 93.1 FM and available on demand, wherever you get your&nbsp;podcasts.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<br/>Email: mvdouglas@wtjx.org<br/>Phone: (340) 474-1682
