On today’s WTJX Radio NewsFeed: The Virgin Islands joined nationwide observances marking 25 years since the September 11 attacks, remembering seven Virgin Islanders among those killed.

Police are investigating a three-vehicle collision that occurred Thursday on Weymouth Rhymer Highway that claimed the life of 26-year-old Darlin Arias.

A seven-hour planned outage Sunday will affect eastern St. Thomas and St. John as WAPA completes work on a new backup transmission route.

Marcellina Ventura-Douglas is the Radio News Reporter for WTJX-FM, 93.1.She was born and raised on the island of St. Croix, where her grandfather founded the historic newspaper, The St. Croix Avis. Marcellina earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of the Virgin Islands, also working in the office of Senator Shawn-Michael Malone while she attended school. After leaving Malone's office, Marcellina went on to serve as program director of Vivid Streaming before working for the Virgin Islands National Guard as a Family Assistance Center Specialist from 2017 to 2018, where she supported service members and their families following Hurricanes Irma and Maria. She then joined WTJX-TV, Channel 12 as a producer, but was soon tapped to switch to WTJX-FM to deliver local evening news through the WTJX NewsFeed, airing every weekday at 5:00 pm on 93.1 FM and available on demand, wherever you get your podcasts.  <br/>Email: mvdouglas@wtjx.org<br/>Phone: (340) 474-1682
