On today’s WTJX Radio NewsFeed: Calypso legend Dr. Slinger Francisco, known around the world as the Mighty Sparrow, has died. Governor Albert Bryan and Delegate to Congress Stacey Plaskett mourn the calypso legend and we take a look back on his appearance on WTJX’s “Face to Face” with Addie Ottley in 2001.

Two men were killed in separate auto-collisions on St. Thomas this weekend – one of them during a car chase with police. Then, in a separate incident early this morning, a young woman was shot and killed on Veterans Drive, marking the territory’s 39th homicide of the year.

And as immigration enforcement in the territory ramps up due to national policies, the Magens Bay Authority says they’re losing tradesmen that are essential to daily operation.

Originally planning to pursue a career in law, Isabelle worked as a paralegal on St. Thomas for several years before deciding to follow her passion for storytelling.
