On today’s WTJX Radio NewsFeed: We speak with Virgin Islands Board of Education Chair Dr. Kyza Callwood and EDA Executive Director Wayne Biggs regarding a disagreement that emerged as to who is responsible for enforcing scholarship fund contributions from EDC beneficiaries. A judge denied a motion to dismiss a whistleblower lawsuit filed by former VIHFA Chief Operating Officer Stephanie Berry, allowing her claims which include retaliation and defamation against the Authority and two top officials to proceed in court. Testimony in the federal corruption trial of former DSPR Commissioner Calvert White revealed allegations that former Police Commissioner Ray Martinez ordered surveillance devices to be planted in multiple government offices — we report on the first public statements made about the devices and different developments. Marcellina Ventura-Douglas is the Radio News Reporter for WTJX-FM, 93.1.She was born and raised on the island of St. Croix, where her grandfather founded&nbsp;the&nbsp;historic&nbsp;newspaper, The&nbsp;St. Croix Avis.&nbsp;Marcellina earned her&nbsp;bachelor’s degree in criminal justice&nbsp;from the University of the Virgin Islands,&nbsp;also&nbsp;working in the office of Senator Shawn-Michael Malone while she attended school.&nbsp;After leaving Malone's office,&nbsp;Marcellina&nbsp;went on to serve as program director of Vivid Streaming before working for the Virgin Islands National Guard as a Family Assistance Center Specialist from 2017 to 2018, where she supported service members and their families following Hurricanes Irma and Maria.&nbsp;She then joined WTJX-TV, Channel 12 as a producer, but was soon&nbsp;tapped to switch to WTJX-FM to deliver local evening news through the WTJX NewsFeed, airing every weekday at 5:00 pm on 93.1 FM and available on demand, wherever you get your&nbsp;podcasts.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br/>Email: mvdouglas@wtjx.org<br/>Phone: (340) 474-1682
