On today’s WTJX Radio NewsFeed: A green sea turtle on St. Croix was rescued and released after divers and community members worked together to remove a fishing spear lodged in its neck. We speak with leadership from the St. John’s Episcopal Church regarding the eviction of The Collective Collaboration. We also speak with the Collective Collaboration's founder who disputes the Church's assertions. A 19-year-old St. Thomas man is in custody on multiple felony charges, accused of running a years-long online blackmail scheme that coerced a teenage girl. WAPA will reopen part of the Queen Mary Highway near UVI and the Educational Complex on August 13, before shifting road closures westward the following day for construction. Marcellina Ventura-Douglas is the Radio News Reporter for WTJX-FM, 93.1.She was born and raised on the island of St. Croix, where her grandfather founded&nbsp;the&nbsp;historic&nbsp;newspaper, The&nbsp;St. Croix Avis.&nbsp;Marcellina earned her&nbsp;bachelor’s degree in criminal justice&nbsp;from the University of the Virgin Islands,&nbsp;also&nbsp;working in the office of Senator Shawn-Michael Malone while she attended school.&nbsp;After leaving Malone's office,&nbsp;Marcellina&nbsp;went on to serve as program director of Vivid Streaming before working for the Virgin Islands National Guard as a Family Assistance Center Specialist from 2017 to 2018, where she supported service members and their families following Hurricanes Irma and Maria.&nbsp;She then joined WTJX-TV, Channel 12 as a producer, but was soon&nbsp;tapped to switch to WTJX-FM to deliver local evening news through the WTJX NewsFeed, airing every weekday at 5:00 pm on 93.1 FM and available on demand, wherever you get your&nbsp;podcasts.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br/>Email: mvdouglas@wtjx.org<br/>Phone: (340) 474-1682
