On today’s WTJX Radio NewsFeed: The Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima docked this morning at the Austin “Babe” Monsanto Marine Terminal in Crown Bay, St. Thomas. VI Port Authority Executive Director and Senator At-Large Angel Bolques clash on proposed marine tariff amendments and new fees ahead of Monday's public hearing on St. John. Bolques calls the proposals regressive and disproportionately burdensome to St. Johnians while Dowe points to Bolques's bill to double fees on container ships bringing imports. During its recent meeting, the Public Services Commission criticized the VI Waste Management Authority regarding delays of a proposed Waste-to-Energy project for St. John. We speak with VIWMA's new Executive Director Hannibal 'Mike' Ware who provides us with an update. Marcellina Ventura-Douglas is the Radio News Reporter for WTJX-FM, 93.1.&nbsp;She was born and raised on the island of St. Croix, where her grandfather founded&nbsp;the&nbsp;historic&nbsp;newspaper, The&nbsp;St. Croix Avis.&nbsp;Marcellina earned her&nbsp;bachelor’s degree in criminal justice&nbsp;from the University of the Virgin Islands,&nbsp;also&nbsp;working in the office of Senator Shawn-Michael Malone while she attended school.&nbsp;After leaving Malone's office,&nbsp;Marcellina&nbsp;went on to serve as program director of Vivid Streaming before working for the Virgin Islands National Guard as a Family Assistance Center Specialist from 2017 to 2018, where she supported service members and their families following Hurricanes Irma and Maria.&nbsp;She then joined WTJX-TV, Channel 12 as a producer, but was soon&nbsp;tapped to switch to WTJX-FM to deliver local evening news through the WTJX NewsFeed, airing every weekday at 5:00 pm on 93.1 FM and available on demand, wherever you get your&nbsp;podcasts.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<br/>Email: mvdouglas@wtjx.org<br/>Phone: (340) 474-1682
