On today’s WTJX Radio NewsFeed: We speak with our chief reporter Tom Eader who was in the courtroom as Darin Richardson, former COO for the Virgin Islands Housing Finance Authority was sentenced to three years in prison following his conviction last year of fraud and money laundering. The parents of a student who was placed in a chokehold by a school monitor at the St. Croix Educational Complex High School are looking to press charges, meanwhile Education Commissioner Dionne Wells-Hedrington says the monitor has been placed on leave as they investigate the incident. And WAPA says residents in the St. Thomas/St. John district who were expecting an end to rotational power yesterday will have to wait a little longer, with full restoration now expected this evening. Raised on the island of St. Thomas since the age of seven, Isabelle attended and graduated from Antilles School before moving to Washington, D.C. where she earned her bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University in Justice and Peace Studies. Originally planning on pursuing a career in the law, Isabelle worked as a paralegal on St. Thomas for several years before making the decision to pursue her passion for storytelling.
