On today’s WTJX Radio NewsFeed: Governor Albert Bryan Jr. nominates attorney Melanie L. Turnbull to serve as a Superior Court Judge in the Family Division for the St. Thomas/St. John district. Prosecutors have filed a trial memorandum detailing federal corruption charges and witnesses they plan to call to testify in their case against former Virgin Islands Police Commissioner Ray Martinez and former Office of Management and Budget Director Jenifer O’Neal. Police on St. Croix arrested a man after he was found carrying a loaded Glock 19 with an automatic conversion chip. The Office of Disaster Recovery and VIDE awarded a $1.3 million preconstruction contract to the Consigli/Benton Joint Venture for the new Julius E. Sprauve School on St. John. Marcellina Ventura-Douglas is the Radio News Reporter for WTJX-FM, 93.1.She was born and raised on the island of St. Croix, where her grandfather founded&nbsp;the&nbsp;historic&nbsp;newspaper, The&nbsp;St. Croix Avis.&nbsp;Marcellina earned her&nbsp;bachelor’s degree in criminal justice&nbsp;from the University of the Virgin Islands,&nbsp;also&nbsp;working in the office of Senator Shawn-Michael Malone while she attended school.&nbsp;After leaving Malone's office,&nbsp;Marcellina&nbsp;went on to serve as program director of Vivid Streaming before working for the Virgin Islands National Guard as a Family Assistance Center Specialist from 2017 to 2018, where she supported service members and their families following Hurricanes Irma and Maria.&nbsp;She then joined WTJX-TV, Channel 12 as a producer, but was soon&nbsp;tapped to switch to WTJX-FM to deliver local evening news through the WTJX NewsFeed, airing every weekday at 5:00 pm on 93.1 FM and available on demand, wherever you get your&nbsp;podcasts.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br/>Email: mvdouglas@wtjx.org<br/>Phone: (340) 474-1682
