On today’s WTJX Radio NewsFeed: Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery at The Palms at Pelican Cove on St. Croix after two masked men confronted guests and escaped with the victims car keys in a white Toyota Venza bearing license plate CIM-586. Students were dismissed early from the Bertha C. Boschulte Middle School on St. Thomas after yet another bomb threat was reported today. The Virgin Islands Bureau of Internal Revenue launches a 90-day tax amnesty program starting Monday through February 17, 2026, waiving penalties for delinquent property, income, and gross receipts taxes. Marcellina Ventura-Douglas

Marcellina Ventura-Douglas is the Radio News Reporter for WTJX-FM, 93.1. She was born and raised on the island of St. Croix, where her grandfather founded the historic newspaper, The St. Croix Avis. Marcellina earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of the Virgin Islands, also working in the office of Senator Shawn-Michael Malone while she attended school. After leaving Malone's office, Marcellina went on to serve as program director of Vivid Streaming before working for the Virgin Islands National Guard as a Family Assistance Center Specialist from 2017 to 2018, where she supported service members and their families following Hurricanes Irma and Maria. She then joined WTJX-TV, Channel 12 as a producer, but was soon tapped to switch to WTJX-FM to deliver local evening news through the WTJX NewsFeed, airing every weekday at 5:00 pm on 93.1 FM and available on demand, wherever you get your podcasts.   <br/>Email: mvdouglas@wtjx.org<br/>Phone: (340) 474-1682
