On today’s WTJX Radio NewsFeed: Members of St. Thomas’s marine community gathered earlier this month to honor the life and legacy of Navy veteran and dive shop owner, Richard “Scotty” Scott. Police arrested Jaden M. Francis and charged him with murder in the first degree in last evening's death of 19-year-old Janice Rivera. Police are investigating a shooting that occurred shortly after J’ouvert which led to the temporary shut down of the Juan F. Luis Hospital. The Virgin Islands Board of Elections will host a voter registration drive and voting machine demonstration on January 4 during the Festival Fun Run at Cramer’s Park on St. Croix. Marcellina Ventura-Douglas is the Radio News Reporter for WTJX-FM, 93.1.She was born and raised on the island of St. Croix, where her grandfather founded&nbsp;the&nbsp;historic&nbsp;newspaper, The&nbsp;St. Croix Avis.&nbsp;Marcellina earned her&nbsp;bachelor’s degree in criminal justice&nbsp;from the University of the Virgin Islands,&nbsp;also&nbsp;working in the office of Senator Shawn-Michael Malone while she attended school.&nbsp;After leaving Malone's office,&nbsp;Marcellina&nbsp;went on to serve as program director of Vivid Streaming before working for the Virgin Islands National Guard as a Family Assistance Center Specialist from 2017 to 2018, where she supported service members and their families following Hurricanes Irma and Maria.&nbsp;She then joined WTJX-TV, Channel 12 as a producer, but was soon&nbsp;tapped to switch to WTJX-FM to deliver local evening news through the WTJX NewsFeed, airing every weekday at 5:00 pm on 93.1 FM and available on demand, wherever you get your&nbsp;podcasts.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br/>Email: mvdouglas@wtjx.org<br/>Phone: (340) 474-1682
