On today’s WTJX Radio NewsFeed: DLCA issued a reminder to fuel retailers across the territory that they must get government approval before raising fuel prices by submitting a formal request including the proposed increase, the date of fuel delivery, and supporting documentation such as invoices showing higher costs. Senate Vice President Kenneth Gittens plans to introduce legislation next month that would require property owners to maintain trees and brush along the roads adjacent to their land. And we speak with Dior Parsons, the President of Society 340, who coordinated an effort that provided some St. John residents with grocery store gift cards to assist with food replacement after the island was without power for over 48 hours. Isabelle Teare&nbsp;is the Special Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer of WTJX.&nbsp;She also serves as a multi-media journalist for the System – writing print stories, reporting for the radio NewsFeed, and hosting <i>Trial Watch</i>, a live online program that covers high-profile cases in the territory. Isabelle is a graduate of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, where&nbsp;she&nbsp;specialized&nbsp;in radio broadcast and audio storytelling.&nbsp;Born in Brooklyn but raised on St. Thomas since the age of seven, she attended and graduated from Antilles School before moving to Washington, D.C., where she earned her bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University in Justice and Peace Studies. Originally planning to pursue a career in law, Isabelle worked as a paralegal on St. Thomas for several years before deciding to follow her passion for storytelling.
