On today’s WTJX Radio NewsFeed: 52-year-old Mohammad Suid was extradited to St. Croix after allegedly using a worthless check to defraud a shipping company. Public Works Commissioner Derek Gabriel is pushing back on rumors of an FBI search, saying the claims are false and that operations at the department continue as normal. Lawmakers have advanced a bill requiring paid leave for parents of children with disabilities. Marcellina Ventura-Douglas is the Radio News Reporter for WTJX-FM, 93.1.&nbsp;She was born and raised on the island of St. Croix, where her grandfather founded&nbsp;the&nbsp;historic&nbsp;newspaper, The&nbsp;St. Croix Avis.&nbsp;Marcellina earned her&nbsp;bachelor’s degree in criminal justice&nbsp;from the University of the Virgin Islands,&nbsp;also&nbsp;working in the office of Senator Shawn-Michael Malone while she attended school.&nbsp;After leaving Malone's office,&nbsp;Marcellina&nbsp;went on to serve as program director of Vivid Streaming before working for the Virgin Islands National Guard as a Family Assistance Center Specialist from 2017 to 2018, where she supported service members and their families following Hurricanes Irma and Maria.&nbsp;She then joined WTJX-TV, Channel 12 as a producer, but was soon&nbsp;tapped to switch to WTJX-FM to deliver local evening news through the WTJX NewsFeed, airing every weekday at 5:00 pm on 93.1 FM and available on demand, wherever you get your&nbsp;podcasts.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<br/>Email: mvdouglas@wtjx.org<br/>Phone: (340) 474-1682
