On today’s WTJX Radio NewsFeed: The Northside Sportfishing Club is inviting community members to participate in a Hull Bay beach cleanup tomorrow as part of Earth Day activities and preparations for their 35th annual Bastille Day Kingfish Tournament. Jahmar Frederick, 32, was sentenced to two years in federal prison for illegally possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. The Democratic Party of the Virgin Islands has filed a federal lawsuit challenging the government’s primary election process, with expedited hearings scheduled next week as the party seeks to block the current system and assert its right to select its own candidates. Marcellina Ventura-Douglas is the Radio News Reporter for WTJX-FM, 93.1.She was born and raised on the island of St. Croix, where her grandfather founded&nbsp;the&nbsp;historic&nbsp;newspaper, The&nbsp;St. Croix Avis.&nbsp;Marcellina earned her&nbsp;bachelor’s degree in criminal justice&nbsp;from the University of the Virgin Islands,&nbsp;also&nbsp;working in the office of Senator Shawn-Michael Malone while she attended school.&nbsp;After leaving Malone's office,&nbsp;Marcellina&nbsp;went on to serve as program director of Vivid Streaming before working for the Virgin Islands National Guard as a Family Assistance Center Specialist from 2017 to 2018, where she supported service members and their families following Hurricanes Irma and Maria.&nbsp;She then joined WTJX-TV, Channel 12 as a producer, but was soon&nbsp;tapped to switch to WTJX-FM to deliver local evening news through the WTJX NewsFeed, airing every weekday at 5:00 pm on 93.1 FM and available on demand, wherever you get your&nbsp;podcasts.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br/>Email: mvdouglas@wtjx.org<br/>Phone: (340) 474-1682
