On today’s WTJX Radio NewsFeed: The Virgin Islands Police Department has located and arrested 27-year-old Keshawn Louis on attempted murder charges after he escaped from police custody while being transported to the John Bell Correctional Facility on St. Croix. The Senate’s Committee on Rules and Judiciary has unanimously advanced a resolution to rename the Office of the Inspector General's headquarters on St. Thomas after Steven van Beverhoudt, the territory’s longest-serving Inspector General. And we speak with Dee Baecher-Brown, president of the Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands, which announced the first distribution of grants from the Anderson Stewart Family Foundation. Isabelle is a graduate of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, where&nbsp;she&nbsp;specialized&nbsp;in radio broadcast and audio storytelling.&nbsp;Born in Brooklyn but raised on St. Thomas since the age of seven, she attended and graduated from Antilles School before moving to Washington, D.C., where she earned her bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University in Justice and Peace Studies. Originally planning to pursue a career in law, Isabelle worked as a paralegal on St. Thomas for several years before deciding to follow her passion for storytelling.
