On today’s WTJX Radio NewsFeed: The U.S. Coast Guard says approximately 200 gallons of diesel fuel was removed from the sunken vessel Lucky Me near Altona Lagoon on St. Croix. Police have identified the victim in Wednesday morning’s fatal shooting on St. Thomas as 66-year-old Aubrey L. Frett as investigators continue searching for leads in the territory’s 11th homicide of the year. Ferry operators are challenging tens of thousands of dollars in billing charges tied to the St. John ferry rate case by hearing examiner and potential gubernatorial candidate Jed JohnHope. Meanwhile, the Department of Public Works is defending the operational use of government-owned ferries and signaling support for a possible fuel surcharge on non-resident ferry passengers.
