On today’s WTJX Radio NewsFeed: The Ivanna Eudora Kean High School Class of 2026 celebrated 159 graduates, who collectively received more than $7.3 million in scholarships and financial aid. Meanwhile, 151 students graduated from the Raphael O. Wheatley Skill Center with many already securing jobs across differing fields. A Superior Court judge has ruled that 16-year-old Angelo Javier Carmona is competent to stand trial as an adult in connection with the 2025 killing of comedian Jordan Jones on the Christiansted boardwalk, finding that while the teen lacks legal knowledge and experience, he still has a rational understanding of the proceedings and can assist in his own defense. Marcellina Ventura-Douglas is the Radio News Reporter for WTJX-FM, 93.1.She was born and raised on the island of St. Croix, where her grandfather founded&nbsp;the&nbsp;historic&nbsp;newspaper, The&nbsp;St. Croix Avis.&nbsp;Marcellina earned her&nbsp;bachelor’s degree in criminal justice&nbsp;from the University of the Virgin Islands,&nbsp;also&nbsp;working in the office of Senator Shawn-Michael Malone while she attended school.&nbsp;After leaving Malone's office,&nbsp;Marcellina&nbsp;went on to serve as program director of Vivid Streaming before working for the Virgin Islands National Guard as a Family Assistance Center Specialist from 2017 to 2018, where she supported service members and their families following Hurricanes Irma and Maria.&nbsp;She then joined WTJX-TV, Channel 12 as a producer, but was soon&nbsp;tapped to switch to WTJX-FM to deliver local evening news through the WTJX NewsFeed, airing every weekday at 5:00 pm on 93.1 FM and available on demand, wherever you get your&nbsp;podcasts.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br/>Email: mvdouglas@wtjx.org<br/>Phone: (340) 474-1682
