On today’s WTJX Radio NewsFeed: For the first time in 35 years both valedictorian and salutatorian honors were male students as the Charlotte Amalie High School Class of 2026 celebrated academic excellence, scholarships, championships, and historic milestones during commencement exercises. The Adult Continuing Education program on St. Thomas celebrated 38 adult learners with some graduates overcoming homelessness, language barriers, health struggles, and other life challenges to earn their diplomas. VIFEMS is investigating the cause of a Wednesday afternoon structural fire in Estate Nazareth that left an apartment uninhabitable. Listen to these stories and more.

Marcellina Ventura-Douglas is the Radio News Reporter for WTJX-FM, 93.1.She was born and raised on the island of St. Croix, where her grandfather founded&nbsp;the&nbsp;historic&nbsp;newspaper, The&nbsp;St. Croix Avis.&nbsp;Marcellina earned her&nbsp;bachelor’s degree in criminal justice&nbsp;from the University of the Virgin Islands,&nbsp;also&nbsp;working in the office of Senator Shawn-Michael Malone while she attended school.&nbsp;After leaving Malone's office,&nbsp;Marcellina&nbsp;went on to serve as program director of Vivid Streaming before working for the Virgin Islands National Guard as a Family Assistance Center Specialist from 2017 to 2018, where she supported service members and their families following Hurricanes Irma and Maria.&nbsp;She then joined WTJX-TV, Channel 12 as a producer, but was soon&nbsp;tapped to switch to WTJX-FM to deliver local evening news through the WTJX NewsFeed, airing every weekday at 5:00 pm on 93.1 FM and available on demand, wherever you get your&nbsp;podcasts.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br/>Email: mvdouglas@wtjx.org<br/>Phone: (340) 474-1682
