On today’s WTJX Radio NewsFeed: Construction is underway on a nearly $9.2 million replacement for the flood-prone Sister Emma Cottage at the Queen Louise Home for Children on St. Croix.

A federal judge has rejected the Charlemagnes’ attempt to file their dismissal motion under seal, leaving room to refile by complying with court procedures, while also requiring the defense to address whether jury selection or contempt proceedings could remedy allegations of government misconduct.

Residents are being invited to help shape plans for a $22.4 million modernization of St. Croix's container port during a 6:00 p.m. public meeting tomorrow being held at the VIPA conference room on the second floor of the Henry E. Rohlsen Airport Terminal.

Marcellina Ventura-Douglas is the Radio News Reporter for WTJX-FM, 93.1.She was born and raised on the island of St. Croix, where her grandfather founded&nbsp;the&nbsp;historic&nbsp;newspaper, The&nbsp;St. Croix Avis.&nbsp;Marcellina earned her&nbsp;bachelor’s degree in criminal justice&nbsp;from the University of the Virgin Islands,&nbsp;also&nbsp;working in the office of Senator Shawn-Michael Malone while she attended school.&nbsp;After leaving Malone's office,&nbsp;Marcellina&nbsp;went on to serve as program director of Vivid Streaming before working for the Virgin Islands National Guard as a Family Assistance Center Specialist from 2017 to 2018, where she supported service members and their families following Hurricanes Irma and Maria.&nbsp;She then joined WTJX-TV, Channel 12 as a producer, but was soon&nbsp;tapped to switch to WTJX-FM to deliver local evening news through the WTJX NewsFeed, airing every weekday at 5:00 pm on 93.1 FM and available on demand, wherever you get your&nbsp;podcasts.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br/>Email: mvdouglas@wtjx.org<br/>Phone: (340) 474-1682
