On today’s WTJX Radio NewsFeed: Our contributing reporter Isabelle Teare was in a federal courtroom in Puerto Rico for the status conference for Carlton Dowe’s federal bank fraud case. Dowe is the former executive director of the Virgin Islands Port Authority.

Former Virgin Islands Police Commissioner Ray Martinez has been transferred from FCI Tallahassee to FCI Atlanta as he serves his 10-year prison sentence for his federal public corruption convictions.

Superior Court Judge Venetia Velazquez declined to hear the merits of Stephen “Smokey” Frett’s challenge to his gubernatorial disqualification after finding he had not provided proof that Supervisor of Elections Caroline Fawkes was properly served.

Marcellina Ventura-Douglas is the Radio News Reporter for WTJX-FM, 93.1.She was born and raised on the island of St. Croix, where her grandfather founded the historic newspaper, The St. Croix Avis. Marcellina earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of the Virgin Islands, also working in the office of Senator Shawn-Michael Malone while she attended school. After leaving Malone's office, Marcellina went on to serve as program director of Vivid Streaming before working for the Virgin Islands National Guard as a Family Assistance Center Specialist from 2017 to 2018, where she supported service members and their families following Hurricanes Irma and Maria. She then joined WTJX-TV, Channel 12 as a producer, but was soon tapped to switch to WTJX-FM to deliver local evening news through the WTJX NewsFeed, airing every weekday at 5:00 pm on 93.1 FM and available on demand, wherever you get your podcasts.  <br/>Email: mvdouglas@wtjx.org<br/>Phone: (340) 474-1682
