On today's WTJX Radio NewsFeed: The Virgin Islands Port Authority board has tabled the Frederiksted waterfront master plan amid concerns over government coordination. A woman on St. Thomas has been arrested following a domestic disturbance that escalated into property damage and a physical altercation. The 5-cent LEAC reduction set to take effect on July 1 has been paused after the VI Water and Power Authority filed a petition for reconsideration with the Public Services Commission. Lawmakers voted unanimously today to override Governor Albert Bryan Jr.’s veto of the bill that raises the minimum salary for full-time government employees and the bill that rescinds the salary increases granted to several top government officials based on the recommendations of the Public Officials Compensation Commission; the governor responds. Marcellina Ventura-Douglas is the Radio News Reporter for WTJX-FM, 93.1.She was born and raised on the island of St. Croix, where her grandfather founded&nbsp;the&nbsp;historic&nbsp;newspaper, The&nbsp;St. Croix Avis.&nbsp;Marcellina earned her&nbsp;bachelor’s degree in criminal justice&nbsp;from the University of the Virgin Islands,&nbsp;also&nbsp;working in the office of Senator Shawn-Michael Malone while she attended school.&nbsp;After leaving Malone's office,&nbsp;Marcellina&nbsp;went on to serve as program director of Vivid Streaming before working for the Virgin Islands National Guard as a Family Assistance Center Specialist from 2017 to 2018, where she supported service members and their families following Hurricanes Irma and Maria.&nbsp;She then joined WTJX-TV, Channel 12 as a producer, but was soon&nbsp;tapped to switch to WTJX-FM to deliver local evening news through the WTJX NewsFeed, airing every weekday at 5:00 pm on 93.1 FM and available on demand, wherever you get your&nbsp;podcasts.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br/>Email: mvdouglas@wtjx.org<br/>Phone: (340) 474-1682
