On today’s WTJX Radio NewsFeed: Virgin Islands leaders held an in-person proclamation ceremony at Government House on St. Thomas to honor Purple Heart recipients, officially recognizing August 7 as Purple Heart Day in the territory. The New York Times filed a legal request asking the Virgin Islands Superior Court to unseal confidential reports in Jeffrey Epstein’s probate case, arguing the public has a right to access the records under local law and the U.S. Constitution. The federal murder trial of Richardson Dangleben Jr., accused of killing VIPD Detective Delberth Phipps Jr., will be moved to St. Croix from St. Thomas. Former Sports, Parks, and Recreation Commissioner Calvert White is seeking a new trial after his bribery conviction. Listen to these stories and more.
