On today’s WTJX Radio NewsFeed: Hurricane Erin, the first hurricane of the 2025 Atlantic season, is expected to bring rain, high surf, and dangerous rip currents to the Virgin Islands this weekend, prompting safety advisories, port condition changes, and preparation measures for boaters, contractors, and residents. A judge granted prosecutors 30 more days to begin producing discovery in the federal fraud case against Davidson and Sasha Charlamagne, warning that IT personnel may be called to testify if delays continue. Lawmakers voted 7–6 to reprimand and suspend Senator Angel Bolques Jr. without pay for 30 days following an ethics investigation. Fly The Whale will launch three new daily round-trip flights between St. Croix and San Juan on September 15, while JetBlue is adding daily nonstop Boston–St. Thomas service starting December 18. Marcellina Ventura-Douglas is the Radio News Reporter for WTJX-FM, 93.1.She was born and raised on the island of St. Croix, where her grandfather founded&nbsp;the&nbsp;historic&nbsp;newspaper, The&nbsp;St. Croix Avis.&nbsp;Marcellina earned her&nbsp;bachelor’s degree in criminal justice&nbsp;from the University of the Virgin Islands,&nbsp;also&nbsp;working in the office of Senator Shawn-Michael Malone while she attended school.&nbsp;After leaving Malone's office,&nbsp;Marcellina&nbsp;went on to serve as program director of Vivid Streaming before working for the Virgin Islands National Guard as a Family Assistance Center Specialist from 2017 to 2018, where she supported service members and their families following Hurricanes Irma and Maria.&nbsp;She then joined WTJX-TV, Channel 12 as a producer, but was soon&nbsp;tapped to switch to WTJX-FM to deliver local evening news through the WTJX NewsFeed, airing every weekday at 5:00 pm on 93.1 FM and available on demand, wherever you get your&nbsp;podcasts.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br/>Email: mvdouglas@wtjx.org<br/>Phone: (340) 474-1682
