On today’s WTJX Radio NewsFeed: The Elections System of the Virgin Islands has launched “ElectionStats,” a new digital platform in partnership with Civera that makes past election results since 2010 searchable, downloadable, and more accessible to the public. The federal trial of Richardson Dangleben Jr., accused of killing VIPD Detective Delberth Phipps Jr. in 2023, will proceed as a non-capital case in St. Thomas after Chief Judge Robert Molloy denied a request to move the trial and a late death penalty filing, though the government has filed an appeal; meanwhile, Dangleben’s attorneys are seeking to bar jurors from hearing about another pending murder charge against him. Police are investigating a shooting on Veterans Drive early Saturday morning that left one man injured after another vehicle opened fire on his car. Listen to these stories and more.
