On today’s WTJX Radio NewsFeed: DPNR is asking for the public’s help in locating a handcrafted statue honoring one of the Virgin Islands’ historic Fireburn Queens that was stolen from the Fort Frederik Museum. Sexual assault charges against St. Thomas entertainer Jefferson “Big Daddy Jeff” or “BDJ” Faustin have been dismissed once again, this time days before the case was set to go to trial. The Election System of the Virgin Islands is hosting training sessions for individuals considering a run for office, explaining the nomination process and requirements ahead of the 2026 election cycle. Marcellina Ventura-Douglas is the Radio News Reporter for WTJX-FM, 93.1.&nbsp;She was born and raised on the island of St. Croix, where her grandfather founded&nbsp;the&nbsp;historic&nbsp;newspaper, The&nbsp;St. Croix Avis.&nbsp;Marcellina earned her&nbsp;bachelor’s degree in criminal justice&nbsp;from the University of the Virgin Islands,&nbsp;also&nbsp;working in the office of Senator Shawn-Michael Malone while she attended school.&nbsp;After leaving Malone's office,&nbsp;Marcellina&nbsp;went on to serve as program director of Vivid Streaming before working for the Virgin Islands National Guard as a Family Assistance Center Specialist from 2017 to 2018, where she supported service members and their families following Hurricanes Irma and Maria.&nbsp;She then joined WTJX-TV, Channel 12 as a producer, but was soon&nbsp;tapped to switch to WTJX-FM to deliver local evening news through the WTJX NewsFeed, airing every weekday at 5:00 pm on 93.1 FM and available on demand, wherever you get your&nbsp;podcasts.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<br/>Email: mvdouglas@wtjx.org<br/>Phone: (340) 474-1682
