On today’s WTJX Radio NewsFeed: St. John residents packed the Cleone H. Creque Legislative Annex during VI Port Authority's public hearing, voicing strong opposition to new and proposed increases relative to marine and operational fees. The federal trial of Enock Cole and Jiovoni Smith, who were charged in the 2018 robbery and killing of contractor Derrick Crib at Castaways Bar on St. Croix, ended in a mistrial after jurors told the court they could not reach a unanimous verdict. A legal opinion from VI Attorney General Gordon C. Rhea states that the Summers End Marina project permit remains valid. Listen to these stories and more.

Marcellina Ventura-Douglas is the Radio News Reporter for WTJX-FM, 93.1.She was born and raised on the island of St. Croix, where her grandfather founded&nbsp;the&nbsp;historic&nbsp;newspaper, The&nbsp;St. Croix Avis.&nbsp;Marcellina earned her&nbsp;bachelor’s degree in criminal justice&nbsp;from the University of the Virgin Islands,&nbsp;also&nbsp;working in the office of Senator Shawn-Michael Malone while she attended school.&nbsp;After leaving Malone's office,&nbsp;Marcellina&nbsp;went on to serve as program director of Vivid Streaming before working for the Virgin Islands National Guard as a Family Assistance Center Specialist from 2017 to 2018, where she supported service members and their families following Hurricanes Irma and Maria.&nbsp;She then joined WTJX-TV, Channel 12 as a producer, but was soon&nbsp;tapped to switch to WTJX-FM to deliver local evening news through the WTJX NewsFeed, airing every weekday at 5:00 pm on 93.1 FM and available on demand, wherever you get your&nbsp;podcasts.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br/>Email: mvdouglas@wtjx.org<br/>Phone: (340) 474-1682
