On today’s WTJX Radio NewsFeed: We speak with Senate President Milton Potter and Senator Marvin Blyden about their tour of the Bertha C. Boschulte Middle School where they witnessed severe maintenance, mold, and safety issues. Former St. Croix Police Chief Christoper Howell filed a lawsuit claiming the government illegally stopped his court-ordered disability pay and failed to cover medical care for injuries he sustained in a 2012 on-duty shooting. The Virgin Islands Police Department will host two St. Croix town halls this month, the first being held tomorrow at the Dorsch Cultural Activity Center in Frederiksted. Marcellina Ventura-Douglas is the Radio News Reporter for WTJX-FM, 93.1.She was born and raised on the island of St. Croix, where her grandfather founded&nbsp;the&nbsp;historic&nbsp;newspaper, The&nbsp;St. Croix Avis.&nbsp;Marcellina earned her&nbsp;bachelor’s degree in criminal justice&nbsp;from the University of the Virgin Islands,&nbsp;also&nbsp;working in the office of Senator Shawn-Michael Malone while she attended school.&nbsp;After leaving Malone's office,&nbsp;Marcellina&nbsp;went on to serve as program director of Vivid Streaming before working for the Virgin Islands National Guard as a Family Assistance Center Specialist from 2017 to 2018, where she supported service members and their families following Hurricanes Irma and Maria.&nbsp;She then joined WTJX-TV, Channel 12 as a producer, but was soon&nbsp;tapped to switch to WTJX-FM to deliver local evening news through the WTJX NewsFeed, airing every weekday at 5:00 pm on 93.1 FM and available on demand, wherever you get your&nbsp;podcasts.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br/>Email: mvdouglas@wtjx.org<br/>Phone: (340) 474-1682
