On today’s WTJX Radio NewsFeed: Authorities responded to yet another bomb threat today at the Lockhart K–8 School and the Charlotte Amalie High School on St. Thomas. Governor Albert Bryan Jr. vows to seek maximum punishment for the person behind these threats once apprehended. The governor announced the release of $10 million in income tax refunds to help Virgin Islanders cope with the financial strain of the ongoing federal government shutdown, now in its 40th day. Marcellina Ventura-Douglas is the Radio News Reporter for WTJX-FM, 93.1.She was born and raised on the island of St. Croix, where her grandfather founded the historic newspaper, The St. Croix Avis. Marcellina earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of the Virgin Islands, also working in the office of Senator Shawn-Michael Malone while she attended school. After leaving Malone's office, Marcellina went on to serve as program director of Vivid Streaming before working for the Virgin Islands National Guard as a Family Assistance Center Specialist from 2017 to 2018, where she supported service members and their families following Hurricanes Irma and Maria. She then joined WTJX-TV, Channel 12 as a producer, but was soon tapped to switch to WTJX-FM to deliver local evening news through the WTJX NewsFeed, airing every weekday at 5:00 pm on 93.1 FM and available on demand, wherever you get your podcasts.  <br/>Email: mvdouglas@wtjx.org<br/>Phone: (340) 474-1682
