On today's WTJX Radio NewsFeed, WAPA has failed to pay its required assessment fee to the Public Services Commission; the commission claims that this failure undermines its operations. Lawmakers are seeking answers from the Department of Tourism regarding unpaid vendor invoices from the 2024 Crucian Christmas Festival, while Senator Hubert Frederick is advocating for the department to ensure fair pay for local musicians. Governor Albert Bryan Jr. is calling for a higher tax rate on Airbnb rentals—an effort he says will increase hotel tax revenue and help address the rising cost of housing in the territory. Listen to these stories and more.
