On today’s WTJX Radio NewsFeed: The World-Famous Xpress Band was honored as the 2025–2026 Crucian Christmas Festival Village officially opened last evening under the name Xpress’s Famous Sound Stadium. The Festival Village was cut short after multiple fights involving minors prompted police to close the village early. St. Croix police arrested a man on multiple domestic violence related charges following an assault reported after the Mon Bijou j’ouvert. Attorney General Gordon Rhea announced a lawsuit by the VIDOJ against Meta, accusing the company of harming children and failing to prevent fraud on Facebook and Instagram. Marcellina Ventura-Douglas is the Radio News Reporter for WTJX-FM, 93.1.She was born and raised on the island of St. Croix, where her grandfather founded&nbsp;the&nbsp;historic&nbsp;newspaper, The&nbsp;St. Croix Avis.&nbsp;Marcellina earned her&nbsp;bachelor’s degree in criminal justice&nbsp;from the University of the Virgin Islands,&nbsp;also&nbsp;working in the office of Senator Shawn-Michael Malone while she attended school.&nbsp;After leaving Malone's office,&nbsp;Marcellina&nbsp;went on to serve as program director of Vivid Streaming before working for the Virgin Islands National Guard as a Family Assistance Center Specialist from 2017 to 2018, where she supported service members and their families following Hurricanes Irma and Maria.&nbsp;She then joined WTJX-TV, Channel 12 as a producer, but was soon&nbsp;tapped to switch to WTJX-FM to deliver local evening news through the WTJX NewsFeed, airing every weekday at 5:00 pm on 93.1 FM and available on demand, wherever you get your&nbsp;podcasts.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br/>Email: mvdouglas@wtjx.org<br/>Phone: (340) 474-1682
